RATED PLAY
NETomas Pickle Pack
For players who want more than open play, Rated Play offers an optional pathway to track skill progression and prepare for competitive events.
This program features weekly organized games where match results are submitted through DUPR to help players build accurate ratings and improve reliability over time. Participation is always optional.
NETomas Pickle Pack is a community-based pickleball group that originated in the Natomas area of Sacramento. While rooted locally, Rated Play is open to players from across the Sacramento region and is organized by Sactown Pickleball as part of our nonprofit mission.
Many players in the NETomas Pickle Pack are active tournament competitors across men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles divisions, helping create a structured and supportive competitive environment.
Best for Players Who:
- Want to understand their current skill level
- Are preparing for Sactown Slam tournaments or league play
- Prefer structured, competitive environments
- Still value a community-first culture
SACTOWN SLAM
Welcome to Sactown Slam – Competitive Play, where Sacramento’s most passionate players meet competition with community spirit.
The Slam isn’t just a tournament series—it’s a celebration of skill, sportsmanship, and Sacramento pride.
What Makes Slam Different
- Open to Everyone: You don’t have to “belong” to a specific club—just bring your paddle and your passion.
- Ladders and Leagues: Join seasonal ladders and local leagues that match you with players at your level.
- Signature Events: Our annual Sactown Slam Tournament (launching Spring 2026) will be a city-wide showcase for players of all ages.
- City Meets City: As new local clubs form, Slam becomes the connective tissue—Natomas vs. Midtown, Land Park vs. Arden Arcade. Rivalries that build community.
Why We Slam
Sactown Slam exists to raise the bar for competition without raising barriers to entry. We believe that competition and community can coexist—and that Sacramento can lead the way in how inclusive, fun tournaments should feel.
SACTOWN SPIRIT
Sactown Spirit is the heart of our nonprofit—focused on youth programs, clinics, charity events, and community connection. This is where the next generation of players learn, laugh, and grow—on and off the court.
What We Offer
- Youth Camps & Clinics: Coming Summer 2026, we’ll launch free and low-cost sessions for kids and teens to learn fundamentals from local coaches and volunteers.
- Community Play Days: Pop-up pickleball events at parks and schools to bring people together, regardless of experience or background.
- Inclusive Outreach: Equipment drives and scholarships for families or players in underrepresented areas of Sacramento.
- Pickleball in Schools: Partnering with PE programs and rec centers to introduce students to the game early.
Why Spirit Matters
The Spirit program embodies our belief that pickleball builds people. It’s not about medals—it’s about moments: laughter, teamwork, and lifelong connections that begin with a serve.
